Chester, PA - Sunday, August 21 marks the fourth edition of Super Stakes Sunday at Harrah's Chester Casino and Racetrack, and once again, a rich card of Standardbred racing will be presented with over $2 million on the line in purses.  First post will be 2:00 p.m.

Top three-year-olds will square off in the Battle of the Brandywine, the Colonial, and the Valley Forge, once again the tri-featured events on the day's program.  The Battle of the Brandywine for pacing colts and geldings will go for a purse of $500,000, as will the Colonial for trotters.  Both of these races will also offer consolation events for $200,000 and $100,000.  As in past years, the eight horses entered with the highest seasonal earnings will race in the main event, with the eight next highest money earners this year in the second event, and the next eight in the third event.  Pacing fillies will contest the Valley Forge for a purse of $350,000.  Its consolation divisions will carry purses of $150,000 and $75,000.

In addition, the race office has carded the following races:
- 3-year-old Open Pace (PA sired preferred) - $60,000
- 3-year-old Open Trot (PA sired preferred) - $60,000
- Open Pace - $100,000
- Open Trot - $100,000
- 4-year-old Open Pace - $100,000

Horsemen should note that entries will be accepted until Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m., and that all races with a purse of at least $100,000 will be raced out of detention.  Lasix and paddock schedules are available in the paddock office.

Driver meet-and-greet at 12:30

While first post is at 2:00 p.m., the festivities begin at 12:30 with a driver meet-and-greet on the grandstand patio.  Nine of the top drivers at Harrah's Chester will be on hand for autographs prior to the card, from 12:30 to 1:15.
