They finally got that stiff Goodell off of "Giddy Up" (yes, he did drive him very well for a stretch at Younkers, But the last few DRIVES, not the horse, were terrible). I think Dube can upset with him.

That's got to be one of the most out-of-form FFA races ever carded.  The best last race was put in by One More Laugh, who put in a 52:4 final half at Chester, but still lost to Weekend Gambler

No wonder Trick Man beat the FFAs at the Meadows on Adios day.  Cheesy

I am just an old "Hoss" trainer, that has been raced hard and put away wet.
As my Friend from Maine(Ora Stratton) says "There are horse trainers, and then there are real "Hoss" trainers.

Don't throw Won The West out just yet.
Look hard at his last race.
Parked no cover, never headed leader.
His second qtr. was :26 3/5
His 3rd qtr. was :26 2/5.
Those are middle panels of :53 flat.
His last qtr. was :27 3/5
Much better race than it looked.
Much better.

I can't throw ANYONE out of that race.  Heck, if they put Comical Star A and Roburascal in there, I'd have to consider them.

I'd say he gets his head kicked in with this bunch but I've been wrong before. Some nice horses in this race, I like Hypnotic Blue Chip in this one.

Dube had the horse 10 wide in the grandstand just like Goodell at Northfield.

WTW is just not an elite horse anymore IMO, with the trip he had off of that speed duel he should have won by more than a neck.

Horse doesn't match the hype. Decent horse but there are a lot of claimers who went onto make a lot of money.

If you can find an $8 claimer who's made $193k please tell me about it.
The only hype was the fun of the streak and the rise up the ladder.
He made the winter season a little less boring this year.
I don't get people who poke at Elmo or See You At Peelers?

This horse was put in the same category as Cam Fella. THAT'S A COMPLETE JOKE. There have been a LOT of claimers that have made a whole lot of money. How about Darcys Ill bred gray horse? Go Warrior Go. I'm pretty sure he made that much. AND he was an 8 claimer. But NOBODY was mentioning him in the same class as Cam Fella. And there are more. STOP with the St Elmo Hero crap. He's a nice horse. That's IT. NO world beater. NO wonder horse. NO movies.

When he was winning all of those in a row at Balmoral. People kept comparing him to Cam Fella. Quite a few said he was BETTER. Plus the program kept putting it in there night after night. Like I said, nice horse but NO world beater.
