OT: Las Vegas sets new weather record

Las Vegas set an all-time weather record on Tuesday -- not for the official high temperatrure of 107 -- but for the lowest humidity ever recorded here -- 1 percent.

The humidity in Vegas is normally in single digits, which makes even triple-digit temps very bearable, but today was the all-time dryest.

If you're tired of the oppressive humidity where you live, come on over and dry out!

Yeah I heard that the temperature was 107 and it felt like 97.....The biggest discrepancy in history.....Its apparently rare for it to ever feel any cooler than the actual temperature only warmer because of added humidity....They called it negative dew point or something

Humidity or not 97 is hot.

  Yep, typical weather out there sometimes.  I recall stepping from a vehicle in Laughlin on day and my shoes actually melted into the sidewalk. Bank thermometer read 114.  It gets hot out in Primm as well.....Needles, CA is another hotspot......
