I don't have a problem with Sam's show wagering. It's the boasting and bragging that bothers me, not to mention the fact that he doesn't offer all of the necessary information at times.

Something stands out so here goes.

Tioga, Sunday May 22, race 6, post 3, See You At Peelers

$1,000 show in the contest

I would be surprised if there wasn't at least $400,000 wagered on her in the pool. The program does not say no show wagering and she may go off at the same mutual for win and show, might get lucky and get $2.40 to win but that's about it.

She's undefeated and mostly unasked, her first qualifier was in 1.53.1 and her next qualifier was a statement win by 4 3/4 in 1.52.2 unasked.

Her competition in this race is Miss Annie J from the rail who was mostly parked the mile in her last and finished a well beaten 4th and she wasn't that good at the end of last year chasing See You At Peelers but then nobody was. Swinging Beauty is well bred but she will be getting her first look and loss at and by See You At Peelers.

Character Flaw was huge last week off very fast fractions but the best horse outside of her is What's New *** whose game isn't on the front end, so who will go to the lead and get spent chasing See You At Peelers? Character Flaw had 26.1 and 55.2 fractions to close into last week going for $52,324 in the Simpson, this race is only for $12,500 for the right to finish 2nd through 4th and qualify for entry in the $200,000 plus final next week.

Good luck.

I don't necessarily agree with your strategy but if it works for you so be it

this is a special circumstance for my wagering, know the horse and her competition in this race appears to be less than she faced at the end of last season and she made a statement in her last qualifier

Sam,

I rarely bet show but this horse is an exception and is in easy. Who is going to beat her?

There are better ways to make money than at 1 - 9 in my opinion.

You are a cockeyed optimist Harry.   Smiley  I say over/under is $50k.  There was only $4k on Shadyshark Hanover yesterday and he was as much a cinch in the field he was in.

unlike someone else who may have posted the same selection on this horse not too far from post time, may not have listed the full name of the horse or the racetrack, race number or post position, I posted this selection 2 days early in case anyone was interested

I wonder if he calls in a horse on the phone and names the track?

anyway, not to watse any more my time on other people, she won and set the track record and held it for a few races until it was broken

I won't brag about getting $2.10, in fact I find it embarassing to brag over winning a wager or anything else, the richest people I know don't have much money, they have people who care about them, families and their health, MONEY ISN'T EVERYTHING

I made a bet (really made it) and netted $50.00 and the profits won't even fill up my gas tank

plus $200 in the contest

Sam,

You talk big but talk is cheap.

You offered the following comments in my thread and I will respond to them and allow you to back up your comments:

"90% of the pool in real life was mine"

"harry bet 2 dollars to show  but no show betting"

"wow 50 smackers that means you bet a grand okay i bet 4500 and the pool was 6600 so the rest of the world bet1100"

"tell the truth you bet 2 dollars in monopoly money"

First you claimed I wagered $2.00 on the horse to show and then you offered 90% of the pool was yours and I claimed $1,000 in the contest.

Time for facts and for you to back up your comments.

I nearly emptied my off track wagering account on See You At Peelers yesterday as I didn't believe the horse could lose. I saw her at 1 - 9 nearly all the time before the race and I thought if I wagered to win she would pay $2.10 so instead of wagering against myself at a track I believe has small pools to win, I wagered to place as I did in the contest.

You claim that 90% of the place pool was yours and I believe I wagered $1,300 to place. While I claimed $1,000 in the contest, I didn't wish to post I increased my wager like you go boasting about how much you wagered after the fact. The extra wager netted me an extra $15.00, hardly anything worth bragging about. By the way, my post was 2 days in advance, not what, 30 minutes to post, and I at least had the decency to list the date, name of the track, race number and post position. If you truly cared about the others who post in this section the goal should be to allow others who follow people who win to profit, not hide wagers posted near post time of the race, isn't that the spirit of the contest, to allow others to profit?

If your comment is true that "90% of the pool in real life was mine" and my wager in the real pool was only $1,000 and the total pool was $6,600, my wager was at least 15% of the pool.

I'll bet you $10,000 (money put in escrow with respected horse attorney Howard Taylor) that I wagered AT LEAST $1,000 to place ($1,000 place bet or more) on See You At Peelers yesterday through my Nassau Downs OTB account on this on horse on May 22, 2011. A computer printout will verify my wager. You're a big talker Sam and I believe you are either lying or wrong in your comments above.

Back up your claims or shut up.

Talk is cheap. If you believe I didn't wager this amount beat me out of $10,000, I dare you to. I'll gladly call Mr. Taylor.

I believe you won't back up your claims.
