Over 30 yrs. Just a suggestion on r#2 since I think you have no chance of winning the contest betting like that or following Nickles' advice. The #5 is currently 2/5 and you have $6 to win on it.If the 5 wins and you miss the gimmicks you lose money on the race. IMO the smarter wager is either raise the win bet so the profit will cover the exotics if they run out or just bet the exotics. |

Just betting the exotics would be pointless. At least if the 5 wins I get a partial return. If I just bet the exotics and they both miss than I am SOL completely. Not sure what the logic would be for tossing the win bet entirely. I see your point about raising the bet amount at least...however I'm going to leave it the same.

When I go to the tracks for live racing I bet $2 exactas $2 trifectas and variable amounts to win. Once in a while Place, Show, and Superfectas. I don't see what isn't sharp about that style? |

On another thread you say you will play Uncle Mo to win and here you say you bet big favorites online to show. So it still makes sense to you to bet Uncle Mo to win and get $2.20 instead of just betting him all to show and getting $2.10 plus your rebate online ? If you have not figured out what is wrong with your betting style after 25 yrs there is no point for any further discussion on the subject. |

Betting big favorites to show... regardless if online or at the track... is a "foolish" bet. (and using "Sam" as an example is "foolish", IMO.... he is considered the BIGGEST GOOF on this forum)
That is not just my opinion... as 99% of knowledgable betters would agree with this.
The "on track" wagers you claim you play are fine.... although I can't quite understand WHY you would make $2 place or show bets. A win & place bet on a horse that's at least 10-1 or higher is more reasonable. |

Im beginning to find it foolish to bet small amounts to place and show. Superfectas are usually not worth it either. Lately I have been having decent success on track betting variable amounts to win, $2 exacta, $2 trifecta. |
