I enjoyed reading the story about John Roberts written by Mike Paradise.

It says Roberts has found God and has had a profound life change through his fiancee, Crissy, and his family, who have stood by him in his battle to overcome alcohol addiction. He says he has now been 11 months sober.

John, if you read this, I wish you well, and I want you to know it CAN be done! For two decades in the 1970s & 80s I nearly destroyed myself by consuming a quart of bourbon a day, leading to a couple of DUI's, jail time, loss of job and career. Yet, in spite of all this, I still was literally incapable of stopping on my own.

But through my best friend, who had the patience of a saint, I also "found God," and because of my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, He completely removed all my physical craving for alcohol, restored my job and career and has continually and richly blessed my life in more ways than I could ever recount!

God did what all the king's horses and all the king's men could never do...he put this Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Ironically, tonight is the 21-year anniversary of my final drink of alcohol, taken on Jan. 31, 1990. I am living proof that miracles CAN and DO happen if you invite the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart to be your Lord and Savior....."For nothing is impossible for God." (Luke 1:37)

John, I pray you will keep your eyes fixed on God, and experience all of the truly countless blessings God has planned for you and your family!

  Without any outside influence, I myself turned things around several years ago as well, and have found peace and prosperity.

i would like to note that, John trained a filly for me last summer and did a fine job! And he was fair in his price for training. Best of luck to John! Keep up the great work!

I don't believe the first sentence "He has found God"
I thought God was a forgiving person and teaches not to hate/ignore other people he does not agree with.
I could be wrong but holding grudges is not part of God's teachings.

I'm glad he has turned things around none the less
