Is it any wonder I don't patronize that place anymore ?  I go in tonight, and the place is filthy.  You should see the band of scrounges that sit there, slack-jawed, waiting to bet 5 horse fields, fields with scratches in nearly every race, and 3/5 shots galore.  What happened to the "Little M" ?  Some old man told me to go "F" myself when i changed one of the 3 TVs off of maywood and onto Hoosier.  You should have seen the lump of a wart-faced beast he was with.  you'd have thrown up !  I stopped in to get Saturday's Meadowlands Program and this is the thanks.  Even race track Phil gave me "the wave" -yikes !  I hope the place meets the same fate as Washington Park and the old AP.  It won't be missed.  What does Dan say..."miserable people leading miserable lives".  I don't know how race track Phil can stand it in there - it's an urban sewer.  I may even have to reassess my praise of Ken Kiehn.  The place is falling down around itself and the racing is 4th rate at best.  Who the hell is betting on this diseased product at that cesspool ?   trotter  TC

You walked up and changed the channel on a TV someone was watching, and he reacted negatively. It would never happen at any other track.

3 of the 7 TVs there were on Ratwood; I changed one of them to hoosier - BFD.  Sorry you don't see it that way.  You may now return to dreaming of hitting a $1 per box at that dump.   trotter  TC

The Imperial Palace is like the Bellagio compared to Maywood Park.

That's OK Phil.  I saw you were busy legging up on your laptop.  I just wanted to introduce you to your "twin brother" bringthepain - another Morgan "fan" - LOL.  He used to work at Maywood way back as a kid and you've probably seen him around a million times.  I saw plenty of bad drives out there, and I'm really thinking that if you (the patron in general) is not in the "cocoon" of those super Booths at Ratwood, then you're open to too much filth from the other inhabitants.  I'd rather deal with Balmoral now than my old home Maywood.  Kenny Kiehn needs to find a way to re-classy up the joint.  The floodgates of lower means customers make it an uncomfortable, unsafe place in many areas.  What a total shame that the track I cut my teeth at is fallen down.  Even Brent in the winner's circle was surprised to see me there.  You and your crew truly are "The last of the Mohicans".  Good luck with the rest of the card.   trotter  TC

The point is you don't just walk up and change the TV channel in any simulcast venue. If you do you get abuse. You act so surprised. Are you someone special?

Fellas, I don't need massive grandiose racebooks when I'm in Las Vegas.  So long as the place is scrounge-free and comfortable, it's OK by me.  IMO, you can't beat the Palms for cute waitresses and celebrity sightings.  The books at Dan's Suncoast and at the Rio are very nice.  sn is the "Bellagio King" and those Recaro leather seats are tops, but it's cramped getting in and out of there and I feel like a Dillinger with those old-fashioned barred, bank windows.  Caesar's used to be too dark, though once I gave the comedian Pat Cooper and his guys an ice-cold $1,500 TRI at the t-breds.  I heard Primo's is a great place to enjoy a steak on the "finger" after firing all night long.  My buddy lives across the street from the Palms and has $2,000 in comps stored for some N9NE after the Big M next visit.  I heard Harrah's turned the old racebook into their poker room and forced the horseplayers into the sportsbook - bad move IMO.   trotter  TC
