Hey, a fellow sicko degenerate gambler. I groomed, trained, and owned harness horses for 21 years until 1991. Been betting them for 34 years.
I moved to Las Vegas and started dealing in 1991. Learned how to count cards well, got kicked out of one casino and chased out of another, gave that up and took up video poker. I've won $5000 and lost it right back.
The difference between a drunk, a junkie, and a gambler? A drunk will get so drunk he passes out and stops drinking, at least long enough to sleep for a few hours. A junkie will also pass out if he gets high enough. A degenerate gambler can never win enough to make him happy. If he wins $5000, he wants $10,000. If he makes $25,000, he wants $50,000, and so on. A degenerate will gamble till he runs out of money.
After losing a house and filing bankruptcy, I sort of learned my lesson: don't screw with anyone or any machine that puts it's back to the wall and takes on all comers! Now I play poker.
