Show me where you found this information.  I was told while I was there last weekend that they were not owned by the same group.

Google search. (key words) Indiana Downs LLC , & Indiana Live LLC.

BTW, the Casino & Clubhouse ARE physically connected. Stand between the two buildings and look UP. Easy access to and from the Clubhouse about thirty feet above your head.

The two places have entirely different owners, hence the two worlds apart.  If you puke in Pennys, are you barred in Sears?

You are digging yourself a deeper hole! doh   If different ownership is the legal threshold to ignore administrative punishment then---

The Reciprocity Rule wouldn't exist!  These criminals could just move from state to state.  Oh Wait!  They Do! doh

How do you know for sure that the track and casino don't fall under the same corporate parent company umbrella?

Not exactly. It is true that to get to the clubhouse or casino from the paddock you must walk down the "dirt path", BUT, Indiana Downs LLC (racetrack) is owned by the OLIVER CORP. INDIANA LIVE! (casino) is owned by Indiana Downs LLC and managed by the CORDISH CORP. of Baltimore MD. INDIANA DOWNS and INDIANA LIVE are definintly owned by the same, OLIVER CORP.    Undecided

Not a rumor and he will be available to drive as of Sunday . Lets see who lists this thief to drive and hope whomever does gets what they deserve . Word has it Smolin was arrested and track security put together a solid case against this thief . However as Immoral Park seems to let anybody race they are letting the " Thief "  back !!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it is the right thing to do until he is found guilty but hope owners/trainers don't list this thief !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Friends told me he was boasting how he will be back and he denied what happened .....

Love the pontificators here who don't know all the facts.
Maybe they have to let him race? Hes appealing? Its the law? Who knows, I don't.
I really have no idea. But I don't go on a public forum and spout off and go on and on about it.

I wish him the best until I see some type of suspension for cruelty or race fixing or something monumental.

Heres a thought. Lets see how it plays out then comment on it then.
Last time I checked in America it was still innocent until proven guilty.

This is insane.Getting kicked out of a casino does not make someone a criminal, nor deprive them of any civil rights.Other casinos, racetracks, bars and whorehouses are not required to refuse them. They can still vote, drive a car,go to work or get a license to hunt, fish, marry, drive a cab or even drive a horse.

Insane is the right adjective but it describes your mental collaspe!  Marcus Miller up the ante when he went ballistic and caused property damage.

This is not a simple case of drunk and disorderly.  Marcus escaped arrest because of Erv being a nationally known horsemen.

Wouldn't want to soil the good Miller name with an arrest.  You try acting like he did and see what happens to you! doh

Casinos don't like card counters, theives or physically abusive customers.  And their security keeps and shares the names of these customers.

Casinos love thieves. They have money to burn.If casinos barred everyone who made money illegally,
their profits would plummet.

I wonder why the tracks haven't banned you for being a pest, following bettors to the windows to see who they bet and borrowing money from people without paying them back! I guess thats what makes your world go round Old Man!

Is he that guy?
Now that's funny.
Everyone hates them. I had to have one talked to here. He was making people leave.
It may be the most annoying thing in the world. and there is only one way to do it. Not give them a  penny.
They wait for you to hit big and there they are. Not one cent. Ever. You give a dollar and it opens the door.
I learned this the hard way.

You must be the Marty moron at ***.  This owning money theme was started in lock step with the Marty Crackhead at *** who by the way is NOT Marty Engel.

I now know why.  I was talking to a horseman today whose kid is friends with the Wilfong girls.  The kid told the horseman that what happened with Marcus Miller at the casino was not that big of a deal with the casino side.  The kid claimed he/she was told the problem was Marcus was drinking before he drives were over.  That is what caused the blowup.  Now I know why the rabid attacks to keep this quite.

Now if this is really true it does put this incident in the severe category.  Marcus should absolutely be suspended in Illinois and should be given a hefty fine.  All other drivers who had drives against him should support a zero tolerance policy towards alcohol consumption during and between races.

This also is in line with what TC said at ***.  It's possible we know the same person.  Banning Marcus only from the casino seems to be an effort to punish him without really punishing him.  So the attacks by his friends in these forums will get worse if the Illinois stewards start asking questions.

Based on your evaluation of second hand hearsay regarding something that supposedly happened OUTSIDE OF ILLINOIS for which he was not prosecuted or suspended.

And you want to know why we're not on the same side?
Because you rant and rave like Joe McCarthy.

I am not acquainted with Marcus or anyone in his family.
And,despite your apparent desire to lead a lynch mob,I defended you against false, unfair comments on BTW several times.

Here is why we can't be on the same side.  You have no clue what you are talking about!

McCarthy lead a lynch mob against innocent people, I'm attacking horsemen who are ALREADY CONVICTED OR SUSPENDED AND HAVE A RAP SHEET OF OFFENSES!

Marcus was banned from the casino and Oosting & Smolin have been in trouble with the law over fights (even physical abuse) with their girlfriends.

While your are entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to your own set of FACTS!

So everyone who has been kicked out of a casino and lives in Illinois should be heavily fined and suspended from working. And everyone who has been convicted of any charge whatever should be presumed guilty of anything they are accused of for the rest of their lives. And governments and government agencies shoud punish people for events outside their jurisdictions, and without proof.

Uh, Marcus was "caught on tape" by the security cameras, and Bobby was in possesion of the stolen items by having them stashed under his house trailer.

That seems to be "proof" enough for me!    thumbs down    head shake

I think smolin will be found innocent in a court of law . I do not think he is retaining that racetrack lawyer Jennette who works for low wages . Unless they have eye witnesses who saw him place the stolen items under his rented trailer .
I do however wonder what will happen with the stolen items and hope they are returned .

thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up
Why does Il. not have reciprocity with In. or with most other states.  Drivers and trainers come here after being suspended or asked to leave other jurisdictions and are welcomed with open arms.
Then no one would come race in Illinois anymore? 800k handles and purses for 2400?
How about some famous old horsemen in Chicago...we could talk about Ron Marsh, Doug Hamilton, Brian Pelling, even good ole Case was there for a bit.
