I hope Janine beat Jim today. Did any of my fellow BTW-ers see the show today?

There has got to be a way to rig the Jim Vs contest...so that I get picked!  Roll Eyes
Just call them up and tell them you want to do it.  John Walsh(Hawthornes Simulcast Coordinator) did it last week because the guest didnt show up and they probably didnt pick Janines name out of a hat. She might have been a fill-in also. Theyre probably just looking for someone who they can count on to show up.

We picked the same horse in the 9th race, so that effectively made the 8th the decider.  I was still hanging on by the thinnest of margins.  We both picked 6-1 ML shots, but mine turned into the favorite and then finished fourth.  Jim's pick drifted up to almost 10-1 and of course managed to win.

You're going to have to lobby Joe Bunzol Chrissy, maybe he can snag your name next week.

Last week the fan wasn't able to get to the track but did send in his picks for John to use.  The fan this week had something come up, so Jim asked me yesterday if I could fill in.

why ?

why would you hope she won...simply becasue she is a female and he is male,

when are we as a nation going to get past this battle of the sexes, it is really getting old. you have affirmative action, do you want us to all just stay home and drink all day. enough already

Nice try, anyhow.

This Jim vs. thing has been quite a nice little promotion this year.

You are thinking goofy.  Janine brings us the forum and puts up with a lot of flak and keeps it going.  Sheesh, who wouldn't wish her well?  It would be the same if the forum boss was a man.  Sheesh again!

Thank you Pam, for coming to my defense. I meant nothing about it being a man vs woman thing. More like a fellow BTW-er against one of the pro's who does handicapping for a living.

And thank you Chrissy, for being one of the most fun BTW posters.

You sure show your love of the sport.  And if anyone who has been posting or reading here for a time, they'd know you would not be man versus women in any way..
