Sweet Love Takes Rail In $600,000 in Freshman Filly Breeders Crown Trot
WILKES BARRE PA Sweet Love, who equaled the 1:56.2 track record for two-year-old trotting fillies in her Breeders Crown elimination, selected the rail as her starting spot as she takes on eight other talented misses in the $600,000 2YO Trotting Filly Breeders Crown Championship, the third race on the Championship card next Saturday, October 9.
Driver David Miller, who sent the Chocolatier filly to the lead down the backstretch and held sway to the wire for Pennsylvania owners/breeders Fashion Farms LLC, praised trainer Jim Campbell for bringing the horse to Pocono a couple of weeks ahead of the Crown. "She raced well tonight, and I expect her to race well again next week," Miller said, then added, "Its good that shes had a couple of starts to acclimate here at Pocono so often young horses come from other tracks and need time to settle, while shes been here for a while."
Montreal/Toronto hero Rick Zeron, victorious in his first-ever Pocono drive with elim winner Lady Rainbow, and the third prelim winner, Fitness Girl (Tim Tetrick) will start in posts two and three, respectively, just outside of Sweet Love.
