if the horsemens association takes a vote and everyone agrees upon it, shouldnt the horsemen agree to allow say even a 1% portion of their purse funds to provide for the funding for the additional testing that they need as indicated in this article:

http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/horse/columns/story?columnist=moran_paul&id=5601304

or

meet halfway and provide half and the racinos provide the other half?

YES, they already have a certain percentage that is marketed to advertising dollars, so just take 1% of that and put it towards this funding...

The botom line is horseman at Pocono go for $150k-200k a night......10 people around the country watch the races and there are no more than 100 people there watching the races live.......And most of them are there to bet the simulcast......Yet horseman *** and complain about paying $125 a month for stall rent.......I have an idea.......Go back to racing for 1,800 a race and Im sure the track will give up the $125 a month......You have a way better chance of the Racino footing the bill then you ever do getting the horsemen to give up $5.......Let alone 1%

In Illinois many years ago the horsemen agreed to fund half of the testing if the tracks would fund the other half. Do I really have to say what their response was?
