No question about it. I was a spectator so no lost money by me on the call. But the #4 was taken off his game by the bolting winner.

Any other race, without an undefeated 1-5 shot doing what he did would be an easy and automatic DQ. Off the board.

Bad No Call.

what i hear is that summer movie got injured i believe because of the bolting if it is true the stewards should think about what they're doing. i didnt bet the race but you know what though it was terrible descion.

I just watched the replay again.
Was a terrible no-call

My question is this.............Why did the jock on Summer Movie after being taken so wide, rush the horse back up to TC and get him back in the race? Why not just ease him if he was hurt?

I dont care how much money is on the line, if the horse was injured he should have eased him

Possibly he was ok or felt ok until late in the race, when he was not urged.  Looked like he had plenty of "go" right after the incident.

There's an article about it in our DRF for tomorrow.  (are the DRFs the same across the country or do some areas have different stories?  (Another one of my dumb cluck questions.)

Sherman said his horse was "a little bit body sore."

Sadler said he bolted and sometimes isn't focused.  Sherman said he questioned the decision to let the results stand but also said, graciously that Twirling Candy was "much the best."
