Dragon Dance proved the fastest among six divisions of two-year-old pacing fillies in the Pennsylvania Stallion Series held Wednesday (July 21) afternoon at Harrah's Chester Casino and Racetrack, taking a pillar-to-post 1:54.3 victory under Yannick Gingras.
The daughter of Dragon Again cleared the lead on the first turn from A and G Desire (David Miller) through a :27.3 first quarter, subsequently backing down the half to :57.2 before repelling a strong challenge from Real Amor (Brett Miller) up the backstretch. Ultimately, Dragon Dance prevailed in 1:54.3 by 1-1/2 lengths over Real Amor, with A and G Desire finishing third from a pocket trip.
Another Dragon Again daughter was victorious earlier in the card, as Twincreeks Jewel fanned three-wide off cover at the top of the stretch to win by a widening two lengths in 1:55.3 under Tim Tetrick.
Other winners (with sire, time, and driver) were N Y Yankees (The Panderosa, 1:54.4, Andy Miller), Miss Suggs (Allamerican Native, 1:55.1, Tim Tetrick), McTootsie (McArdle, 1:56.0, David Miller), and Celebrity Dollfin (Four Starzzz Shark, 1:55.3, Andy Miller).
