Anybody aware of background on Mr. Harry PRIOR to his working for Bob Farrington?

Jerry Harry's 2009 obit

There's a brief mention of he in the Aug 1954 Hoof Beats along with an accompanying photo taken at Louisville Downs.

A 1962 HB's also says that Fayetteville, Tenn., was the "home stomping grounds" for Mr. Harry.
