What are they watching at Balmoral & Maywood are they blind? Lame horse after lame horse is being aloud to get a pass from the state vets. Isn't there job to insure the safety of the drivers and to look out for us gamblers to see that we are not cheated??? Who do we complain to about this and will anyone listen???

   When you have such short fields, as they do nowadays, the GESTAPO won't let the fields get shorter. They could care less about the bettors or the horses or the horsemen.

There is nobody to complain too. Just do like I did when the racing got so bad and turned into a "  real comedy show ", DON'T BET ON CHICAGO HARNESS RACING.

    Wait until Hawthorne, racing will be better there.

     I agree but they only have 6 or 7 horse fields right now.  What can they do?  If they scratch one or two of the lame rats then handle will really vanish.  They state vet has got to have full pockets for letting some of these things go.  Oh my God, last Saturday night, 4 of the 9 in the 14th race could not even hit the gate and two of them couldn't hit the pace.  It is a real joke and I'm proud, today makes my fourth day of abstinence from Chicago harness racing.  I must confess, I did bet the Big M. and other venues but I'm passing on Chicago for now.  I can't wait until Hawthorne opens.  First class people running a first class facility, I love Hawthorne.  It’s the only true Chicago harness track we have.
