Gee, I was wagering Sat Night on Balmoral.
Taking a look at Brent Holland's percentage. He is like 3 for 185.
Wow!
Talk about ugly. What is up with him?

Driving bad crippled horses. No live drives because Magee, Tetrick and Oosting have all the good horses locked up.

Can you win a race car race with a bad engine?

Let him have his pick of the juiced up horses the way Magee, Tetrick and Oosting does and he'll tear Chicago up too.

 Magee....... Darcy's juice.

Tetrick....... Robinson's juice and his own juice.

Oosting...... Rucker's juice and his own juice.

 Holland...... Horvath 0-37.....Simmons 0-15

I am not certain Brent can drive with Wyers, Sturgeon, Wm. Irvine, or even Magic Dalio Simmons. He'd have a better shot at Raceway Park.  maroon

MG:

Might I suggest that you have a peek at The Maywood Park driver standing's to see what Mr. Holland's ranking is there?  Most of his lives horses come in the way of Maywood and he really does drive the leftover crap at Balmoral, thus his low percentage there.

In case you missed it, Holland set a record at Maywood this year in being the only driver to have 6 winners on a single card so far.  Pay better attention to both of the Chicago tracks next time.  If you understand anything about Chicago harness racing, Holland has been, and will be in the top 10 in Chicago on a continual basis.

As the other posters on this thread have said, Brent is a true "catch driver" because he really does not have one big stable that he drives for.  If you count Larry Banks, that is about as deep as Brent gets, and what does Larry have, maybe 10 or 12 horses, all cheap, to middle of the road claimers?

Just wait until he gets a live one and you'll see some true talent, trust me on that one.  He did very well in the short time he was at the Big M last year, did you forget?

Yeah, and what was Pat Berry and Andy Miller's win % when they first went out there?

Yes, and I'm stating that Pat Berry and Andy Miller did well when they first appeared at the Big M too, so why not post their win %?

Andy Miller was pretty impressive.  I wonder how many of those wins were Loyal Opposition or horses that were above 2-1?

I guess it is safe to sat that Brent had the same % as Pat Berry?  I kind of thought so.  Wink

Joe and Swaymi,
Those stats were from 2005.
You guys know so much- Georgre Brennan drove Loyal most of her starts last year at the Big M.
V. Tatrsy- most of her wins were in 2006.
The thread was about Brent, and the point is if he did so well at the Big M, why did he come back to Chicago?

The point is that none of the lads did well in their 1st attempts at the Big M.  Even EL came back, only to return to NJ STRONG !  Brent is not driving well at the Big B right now, but he is in very good form at Maywood.  Balmoral is a tough place, and the long stretch hurts the lame ones more, because the speed required to keep up saps the remainder of their soundness.  At hand is confidence and steed analysis and BH is suffering in both for now in Crete.  I guarantee he'll improve because he's a good driver and some others are not.  Give him one clique to drive regularly for (as Joe D suggested) and this slump will be a thing of the past.   trotter  TC

Joe D, if you looked at my original post I believe that I bringing out stats for Balmoral and never mentioned anythng about Maywood. If I wanted to talk about Maywood, I would of referenced that track. I was at the track Sat night and Balmoral was racing and I merely mentioned about how poor his numbers were there. I know he is doing fine at Maywood. I think you need to look back at my initial post and not assume that I was making a reference to Maywood as well. Take a look Joe!
