I am just an old "Hoss" trainer, that has been raced hard and put away wet.
As my Friend from Maine(Ora Stratton) says "There are horse trainers, and then there are real "Hoss" trainers.

Does that include the owners of the horses that got beat by Jesk's Ledford trained horses?

looking in,

With all due respect , that's a pretty low blow even for you.

I actually knew this was coming for awhile but was sworn to secrecy since I know the listing agent.

I met Mr. Jesk at the IHHA meeting and talking with him for a short period of time , I highly doubt he had knowledge of what Seldon Ledford was doing. I'm not 100% sure but I'm a pretty good judge of character and he seems like the type that would want to play on a level playing field, he seems to love Harness Racing and wants things to get better but in the end too many people do owe him money and he will end up taking a huge loss on this business venture unfortunately.

Good Racing

I was in the Ledfraud at the same time as Jesk, right before Jesk bought that farm and i can tell you first hand this:

1.)The Ledfrauds NEVER treated Jim with the respect they should have, they talked about behind his back and laughed at him.
2.)Seldon had a $25 booth reserved everynight and when Jim would show up the gang would disperse.
3.)Seldon would brag and laugh about how he ditched Jesk in the grandstand and then swear people to secrecy about his whereabouts!
4.)Eric treated Jim better then everyone else did.  At least Eric showed some respect for Jim's money.
5.)Seldon would tell Jesk which horses of theirs to bet.  My father carpools with a friend of Jesk's and Jesk would tell this guy which horses should be good each night.  And I swear to god that 99 out 0f 100 times the horses Seldon gave him would lose and the 1 or 2 Seldon said needed a race would win!  It got to the point that Jesk actually said "It's gotten to the point that I should bet the opposite of what he(Seldon) says".
6.)What makes this all the worst is that Jesk doesn't bet the kind of money that he could.  He never hurt the Ledfraud's payouts!
7.)Had the Ledfrauds kept the size of their ego's in check, they might have still been in business with Jesk!
