Niles OTB -Lucky's opens 5/1

I  was talking to the contruction guys at Niles - Lucky Magees- and they said they'll be finished 4/24.
The drawings i saw look great. Do you  think this area will draw enough customers?

I would visit it a few times every couple weeks, maybe not for full cards but for few races with a lunch and brew. Some of the OTB's are good local bars to visit and hang out, that just happen to have horses. Hoping this will be the same. The pictures look nice. Still haven't made it to Joliet to check that one.

Janine has a story up that the lady fronting for the anti-OTB communists, out-of-town cranks, paid agents of competitors, and the few true concerned Niles citizens involved, went in front of the Niles council and asked them to take the advisory referendum seriously.

THEY WILL SUCK AWAY MANY PATRONS FROM ARLINTON TRACKSIDE. I THINK IT IS A GOOD LOCATION, I CANT BELIEVE ARLINGTON  LET THIS HAPPEN

I will go there too, I refuse to go to Trackside - Arlington anymore and generally prefer the intertrack partners facilities to any of the Tracksides. Hopefully Arlington will respond and upgrade thier facilities to compete - but that doesn't seem to be thier strategy - it seems they would rather try to cut down the opposition through bogus protests and legal manuvering.
