The only one that I've heard of is Judy Barr Topinka. I'm not 100% sure that she is although Tom Carey Senior of Hawthorne Racecourse told me that they are very good friends going back many years, and that she has pledged to Tom on several occasions that she will do all she can to help improve racing and it's downfalls since the riverboats have been in existance. She is also tight with Jim Edgar, who we all know is an owner/breeder.

Tom Carey Sr is out of the loop at Hawthorne, so don't expect much help from him
on any racing help. Also, Jim Edgar was Governor when he let recapture become the law so
he is absolutely no friend of racing, regardless what he or anyone esle says.

#1) Tom Carey is not the key to this thread.
#2) Edger is now just a horseman who wants whats best for his own interests now-like the rest of us.

The day after his wife disappeared in a kayaking accident, an  Anchorage
man answered his door to find two grim faced Alaska State Troopers.
"We're sorry Mr. Wilkins, but we have some information about your wife,"
said one trooper.
"Tell me! Did you find her?" Wilkins asked  hopefully.
The troopers looked at each other. One said, "We have  some bad news,
some
good news, and some really great news. Which do you want  to hear
first?"
Fearing the worst, an ashen Mr. Wilkins said,  "Give me the bad news
first."
The trooper said, "I'm sorry to  tell you, sir, but this morning we
found
your wife's body in Kachemak  Bay."
"Oh my God!" exclaimed Wilkins. Swallowing hard, he  asked, "What's the
good
news?"
The trooper continued, "When we  pulled her up she had 12 twenty five
pound
king crabs and 6 good sized  Dungeness crabs clinging to her."
Stunned, Mr. Wilkins demanded,  "If that's the good news, what's the
great
news?"
The trooper  said.... "We're going to pull her up again  tomorrow!"

Are you really such a total snapperhead?
You're the one who brought up Tom Carey Sr.
Sr is totally out of the loop so don't even bring him him up.
Jim Edgar is a real piece if shix. As governor he allowed recapture
to become the law of the land. He also promised to re-address
recapture if it became a detriment to racing. What a total piece if shix.
I like Judy B. However, I have some doubts that Edgar, that piece of shix,
is supporting her. Post something intelligent next time.
