MCCARTHY BEING GIVIEN THE DRIVE OF MUSCLE HILL OR KELVIN HARRISON BEING GIVEN AUCKLAND REACTOR TO TRAIN IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE.I MEAN IF MCCARTHY LOST ALL WOULD BLAME HIM AND WHEN HE WON ALL SAID IT WAS ALL MUSCLE HILL.NOW IF AUCKLAND COMES IN AND WINS HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BUT IF HE LOSES THE BLAME WILL FALL ON KELVIN.TO ME FOR KELVIN IF HE WINS HE PROBABLY WILL GET A FEW MORE OWNERS SO IT IS WORTH THE RISK

ER, I think it was a win-win for McCarthy, heck even you could have scored with MH. And ditto for Kelvin Harrison, the Reactor should fare well for him and I agree with you the mere presence of him in Harrison's barn will bring more high profile horses Kelvin's way. Win-Win-Win-Win all the way around. I am looking forward to seeing this great horse on the track. Jim

i agree with that. all you can do is mess up

Nobody knows how good Auckland Raider will do. Many a down under "superstar " has come here and not performed to the hype. Not everyone has been Cardigan Bay or Young Quinn. Many have failed , and I dont think it will be Harrisons fault if that happens

Muscle Hill was a freak. If Mccarthy lost to that field, he would have been slammed to no end

it  was the world trottind derby and totally under wraps....won by about a length....never asked the horse to trot at all--

dan nance also won the trotting derby, but there is no record of it, so you'll have to ask him about it

ER, I think EL benefited from his father's success at M1. EL picked up many live drives from other trainers due to his success with his father's stable. I think EL is a good driver, but not one of the tops. I have not watched the Meadows since EL went there so I can not comment. I do like Brennan though, he has been my favorite driver on the pace for the past several years.

I knew he was good. He is a great talent. But, can he ever get by the sterotype? Morrill and Brennan have. We will see.

thor your love of ledford is so off base. yes hes a good driver b ut should never be mentioned with sears or campell in his prime or odonell in prime or mike lachance oe even dave palone or d miller. hes never won a driving title at any track worth talking about and his only prominent time in the sport was when he got caught redhanded cheating. saying he was winning with other people horses is and overstatement,he still didnt finish top 3.get over it. hes good but imo should never have great attached to his name.

Mr. Capitals Only(REMINDS ME OF SOMEONE ELSE) you are very wrong. The money will soon be gone, but the rush of racing by horses with a champion trotter in a big race will live forever in his memory. A memory that all drivers dream of having.

Rus let me let you in on a little secret on these forums. THe people that you disagree with the most. The people that you can argue with for 3 or four hours. THe people that tell you to GFY. They are the ones that become your biggest friends. Trust me I know.

Wasnt ledford allowed to return to the Meds 2 years ago after hid sentence was reversed. Didnt he have about 80-100 drives.....i dont remember a lot of wins. What was the problem there?  Bad stock? or no Seldon Ledford to gas them up ? Or another reason.

No disrespect, but what exactly happened there? I never thought this guy was nearly as good as you claim

And dont tell me Herve was a thief. If you saw him in his prime, you would know. But you didnt see him when he was the Babe Ruth of this game. Nobody could drive like herve, Nobody

EL is a good driver. Brian Sears is a great driver. EL won tons of races when his barn was red hot. Brian Sears has no barn, drives for everyone and wins tons of races every year. Go back and check EL's stats at the M1 on horses not from his barn and compare to Sears. Plus you get more drives when your barn is winning aka A. Miller and EL back in the day. Everyone loves the guy going to the circle regardless if they're on juice horses. I met EL and went out on the town with him and he couldn't have been cooler. But he's no Brian Sears imo.

Then it all crashes down
And you break your crown
And you point your finger
But there's no one around
