I just heard this past weekend that John's father passed away last week and wanted to pass along my thoughts and prayers for he and his family. Having just lost my father in January I can understand what he is going though.

My condolonces to both of you, no matter how old and grown up you are when it happens- when you lose your Father it is a new chapter of your life and changes your perspective on everything.

So sorry on the loss of your fathers, Jim & John.  I agree, when ones father passes, no matter what age you are, it is a real personal shaker.

Dooley called racing here in NY for a winter or two and was great!!! Durkin always takes the winter off and we usually got stuck with someone awful calling the races, just like this year.  When Dooley was here it was a treat that winter.  His enthusiam is obviously real and not faked.  My condolences to his family.

I would guess that Dooley will be the next New York announcer when Durkin hangs it up.  I believe John is from New York.
