Niles postponed action on a proposed amendment to its village ordinances because of confusion and an absent trustee. They're in a tizzy out there in the village Where People Count due to the proposed OTB versus village ordinances from 1965 that say no gambling, with later state law that seemingly supercedes that. So the issue isn't resolved, and the IRB is supposed to vote on the license next Tuesday. Maybe they have to carry it over again?
Here I thought Niles' Mayor For Life Nicholas Blase ran a tauter ship than that.
