For some reason I have always done better there. I like the payouts better there as well. Freehold is horrible these days. Even when you catch a horse on top that pays over 30 the exacta comes back 57 dollars. How are you going to win when shit like that happens?

I understand that. I've been going there for many years . I hate the place. But, when there are 2 harness tracks racing during the day, they get my money. Have seen everything under the sun go on there. I tend to always put a negative spin on the Freehold conversation. My bad....

Monticello is getting a much much larger handle than Freehold these days and that alone is a reason why you're getting more value. Very few numbers come back what they "should " at freehold


Of course the stock at both tracks is not very worthwhile, and neither are the drivers......but for afternoon harness people, those are your choices. I like Monti better by far......and there was a time in my life when I was at Freehold 5 days a week. Not for a long time however.. It's in steep decline and appears to be nearing the end. We shall see.
