They're leaning that way and she'll be tough to beat. Rip Van Winkle & Summer Bird will be heavily bet as well. If Zenyatta wins, she'll be the first and only mare to ever win the Classic.

For me she would be an automatic bet against, unless I received over 10-1 on her. But I would love to see her win the race, it would be a great story.

She's going to be in a little tougher than she has been lately, love to bet mares against the boys but I can't see her winning.

I want her to be in that race and WIN so bad I can't stand it. I just worry for her. I fell in love with her from the beginning. And I'm not gay so no jokes!

Not many have tried and most of the ones who have tried got ripped a new one. she's fighting history I am afraid Here's how the UK bettors see the race betting wise Rip Van Winkle 2-1 Zenyatta 9-2 Summer Bird 8-1 Gio Ponti 12-1 Quality Road 12-1 Twice Over 16-1 richards Kid 25-1 Einstein 25-1 Colonel John 33-1 Regal Ransom 37-1 Zenyatta will be the ML fav at 5-2 followed by Rip at 7-2 but as you see the UK bettors don't like Zenyatta nearly as much as the Americans. Last year you could only get 8-1 on Ravens but when the Americans bet he was 13-1 as Curlin took all the tourist money. This years tourist money will be Zenyatta. will the tourist win one this time. Doubtful. But it has been known to happen from time to time. biggestal

Azeri ran 5th in the 2004 Classic but take a closer look at that field compared to the one next Saturday. I feel that Azeri would be the M/L Fav in this years Classic as well as Zenyatta. Zenyatta is going to be very tough to deal with and if you throw her off the top of your tickets, you better leave her underneath the rest of them!
2004 Classic
1 Ghostzapper Bobby Frankel Javier Castellano 3-1 2 Freefourinternet Michael Maker Greta Kuntzweiller 50-1 3 Azeri D. Wayne Lukas Pat Day 15-1 4 Perfect Drift Murray Johnson Kent Desormeaux 15-1 5 Fantasticat Bobby Barnett Gerard Melancon 50-1 6 Roses in May Dale Romans John Velazquez 5-1 7 Birdstone Nick Zito Edgar Prado 6-1 8 Personal Rush Kenji Yamaushi Frankie Dettori 50-1 9 Funny Cide Barclay Tagg Jose Santos 6-1 10 Newfoundland Todd Pletcher Eibar Coa 20-1 11 Bowman's Band H. Allen Jerkens Cornelio Velasquez 50-1 12 Pleasantly Perfect Richard Mandella Jerry Bailey 5-2 13 Dynever Christophe Clement Corey Nakatani 15-1
You have 3 different Classic winners in here and 2 Dubai World Cup Winners! A Belmont winner, A derby winner, Peffect Drift & Dynever made $4-$5 million each? This and the 1998 field are the 2 best Classic fields of all time!

Here are the PP's of the 15-1 female in that race heading to the 2004 campaign and compare them to anything running today. http://www.drf.com/eclipse/2003/pps/azeri.pdf

LMAO. Your ignorance is GLARING on this thread with that comment! How many hall-of-famers in that field? We all know what a champion Funny Cide was. And Perfect Drift? Just because he raced for a long time doesn't make him great. Check the 2000 Breeder's Cup if you want to see what a tough field looks like, genius.

Your credibility took a hit here. Ghostzapper, Roses in May, Pleasantly Perfect, Perfect Drift, Birdstone, Dynever? That goes way deeper than this year's version - or most year's for that matter.

Yes he is and he backs up my assessment of the '04 Classic. That race along with the '98 Classic are the 2 best ever (deepest).

Let's see where the mighty Zenyatta draws before figuring odds and/or chances. No matter, though, if she's anything less than 6-1 come post time, she's a huge underlay...Too much risk, considering her recent competition, and her first attempt against the boys.
