Just a few miles from the old (early 1900's) Libertyville Track.

Slocum Lake; Wauconda, Ill., Feb 16, 1953 Feb 19, 1953
(CX4) Wauconda, Ill., Feb 16-Harness Horses Compete On Ice-Sunset (4, right) skids to a victory over Tumble Weed (6) as harness horses competed ice of Slocum Lake, near here, yesterday. Horses use sharp pointed shoes in the revival of old winter sport popular in grandma's day. Wauconda is about 40 miles northwest of Chicago.

BTW, if you look at this photo good?

Your able to see the reflection of the horses in the ice.

Pat,
I sent you some files privately.
I've no solution to offer for access to my sites.

My sites are winding down their existence, I'm removing pages and in some instances actually restricting access more severely than I was previously.
