The stats could be off especially if that guy recently won a race. But remember it's Friday the 13th anything is bound to happen. As far as keeping him in training some owners just don't know when to say when.

The worst owner and trainr combo has to be the people who entered and paid the fees to run that turf horse yrs ago in THE BC TURF.Rick's Natural Star I think was the name,

The main thing is, this horse is someone else's property, to do with as they wish.

The 0-80 was from 2008 but he hasn't won at OP yet either. Also, this horse has only made $1040 in 15 months of training!  Shocked

$1500/month x 15 months = minus $22,500

That reminds me of that horse in, I think, Japan.  Lost so many times it became the darling of horse bettors.  They loved just seeing it lose yet again.

It's curious as to why he won't run this one at Retama. This horse, with a small improvement, would be fast enough to get a check for a TX Bred McL7500 race.

Her best races would put her about 3 or 4 lengths from a check at Retama in that type of race on most days,  if they pay down to 4th or 5th. I don't know if they do.

They've got $3,500 MCl's at Beulah.  If the horse can do a 20+ beyer, he can easily get a check if not be in the Super, depending on how many like them are entered.  If they can do a 40, there a strong contender, providing they can repeat near that fig.  Of course, the purse might also be about $3,500, with $2,100 to the winner.

Wonder if those races are 'confidence builders'.  Your horse beats up on those, maybe it'll get a bit more confidence.  If it fails misarably at that level, you can be confident you don't have much of a race horse.
