Leading Drivers at Sportsman's Park
The drivers' competition at Sportsman's Park this season is particularly keen. After the first two weeks, or 12 racing programs at this meeting, Edgar Leonard, veteran driver and trainer for the H. R. Warren and Sons stable, of Moline, Ill., is the foremost reinsman.
Clarence Curtis, who drove Tempered Volo to victory in the Inaugural Stake, was in second place, not too far back but that any single good, night would put him right up with the early pacemakers.
The drivers' standings, the leading 10, after the first 12 nights of the 42night race meeting follow:
STS. W. P. S.
1. Edgar Leonard 19 9 2 2
2. Clarence Curtis 18 6 2 1
