This 2YO had a then "world record"  2:05 at Harrington under the tutelage of
Bill Fleming.
Temporary file removed

My question is. . .  . she's checked really high for a 2YO Trotting Filly
and in addition wears a ringed-martingale.

It all seems so severe to me however, Bill Fleming had the world record and
in many instances I don't know the a-s-s from the head ;-))

Lets hope it doesn't rain or poor Royal Mist will drown.

I am just an old "Hoss" trainer, that has been raced hard and put away wet.
As my Friend from Maine(Ora Stratton) says "There are horse trainers, and then there are real "Hoss" trainers.

 looking,
Quite odd that you should mention that Wink

Harry Farrow provided me with a recollection of a similar statement regarding an unknown horse from his childhood, with the statement being made by Olin Davis.

And for anybody who thinks this horse is checked high?
I've an image of a horse named Princess Ward (1952; J. Oscar Hunt) wearing a leverage over-check that makes Royal Mist look like an amateur Wink
