Like I said, it's only an "advisory" referendum. That vote itself means nothing. It's what the Village elders do about that advice that counts.

Well, she-at Mike, welcome to the future. We all knew that. Reminds me of an election we held five years ago. Still, disappointed. I may be in the minority but I say, honor the vote and honor the law.

That would be dumb of any city official to say, much less say for publication on the Internet or otherwise. If the people organizing the referendum are legit (probably three old ladies worth of them, with all the rest being agitators from outside Niles like some of the goofy bunch who were involved in Morton Grove, as well as Arlington payola whores), and the people of Niles vote "NO" in a big way, the City planning commission or council would have to sit up and at least take notice. The yes vote on that OTB was a pretty close one to begin.
