Author Topic: Losing streaks  (Read 775 times)

Here's a little tip re: winning and losing streaks.

Keep a record of all your bets, in fact all your handicapping and racingactivity.
and find the ratio of,say, cashes to bets, or cashes to races handicapped.

Say it's 15%, cashes to bets, and call it "N".

Plug it into this formula:

With a 99% probability, this will tell you how many races you MAY have to wait through until you cash your NEXT ticket. In otherwords, the maximum length your losing streaks COULD run. A numerator of @log(.05) will give you a 95% probability, etc.

Variants of this can be used for all sorts of racing stuff and  can be used for money management, etc.
