When I was yung we raced in snowstrms where the sulkies were skititng out of control these drivers dont need the money and just take days off when the trainers and the owners suffer. I raced in tornadows, hurricanes, and even saches when i raced oversees and never did we cancel now you have thes lightest threat of bad wether and these drivers go begging to the state to cancel. What a joke.
They run the track the way it SHOULD be run. No reason to endanger the stock or the horsemen -- and the advance cancel gives all parties a chance to properly adjust their plans.
The alternative: run stock over a less-than-satisfactory surface, endangering the drivers and horses -- and also the trainers that have to ship. All the while putting on a rough betting card at best.
Congrats to the Big M for doing it right. Just my opinion.
