Given his performance in the Jug and his difficulties there with the 1/2 mile tracks turns I'd say that the Tattersalls Pace might be his next best target.
The Red Mile is probably the most "forgiving" track in North America and he displayed today a resurgent aglility over the red clay in Lexington.

I think Art Official is tailing off and they are afraid the Beach will swallow him up.  Windy City is another duck.

I doubt they are afraid the beach will swallow them up.There is a reasonable chance the Tattersalls get split up and he may not even draw in the same division.

From The Harness Edge:

There will be no Shadow Play in Lexington, Kentucky.

In today's vodcast Dr. Ian Moore explains why the hoof separation will prevent the Little Brown Jug winner from being supplemented to the Tattersalls Pace. Instead work will be done in an attempt to have the colt ready for the Messenger Stake eliminations at Yonkers Raceway on October 18.

Thanks MoJo.

I think that AO goes to The Tattersalls.  Lonestar Legend will be there!

The answer is both! He will race in the Tattersalls on Saturday then race in the Windy City at Maywood. Seekman says Art Official will skip the Messenger!

I don't think he had an option on the Messenger.  Since he had to supplement, wasn't he only eligible if he had won the Cane & The Jug?

We can produce more wealth, but we cannot produce more time.  When we give someone our time, we actually give a portion of our life that we will never get back.
