Perhaps the state of IL can ask their neighbors to the east on how to conduct business.

 nyah nyah nyah

F*ck off, inbred -- your best move would be to go back into your hole and stay the hell out of this.

If we want to know how things are done in Indiana, we'll just buy your piece of shit state for the $10 or $12 bucks it's worth.

Another great quote from the Sun Times story:

"Also on Nov. 12, in a conversation with Harris, the complaint affidavit states that Blagojevich said his decision about the open Senate seat will be based on three criteria in the following order of importance: “Our legal situation, our personal situation, my political situation. This decision, like every other one, needs to be based upon that. Legal. Personal. Political.”

No mention or consideration at all of, "What's right for the people of Illinois."  doh

He had illegal dealings with, "Chicago Race Tracks/Casinos, Toll Roads, Senate seat, & Chicago Tribune Employees" -per FBI

IMO

I don't think the Tracks would have given him anything.
Senate Seat, big money here.
You get that seat, your in for life.
Can you imagine, you don't have to raise $1.00.
I think the Senate seat could got for $ 1,000,000.
What's with the Tribune?
You gonna squeeze Sam Zell?  I don't think so.

You might have $10-$12 but your stupid state does not.If they did they would overpay for it anyways.

If a mob of people came down my street and said, c'mon, we're going downtown and we're going to storm the Federal building and kick Blago's ass, I just might light a torch and join them. This is infuriating!

You act like this is a surprise. His alleged misdeeds have been in the papers for years, and the Feds have been snooping for several. It was only a matter of time.

No wonder all America rejected McCain/Palin and the Republikkan cretin philosophy they embodied:

Even Joe the Plumber is dissing them now.

Oh, wait ... Joe thinks Sarah was "absolutely the real deal".  screwy

At least America is finally rid of that corrupt Texas Republican machine.

It's interesting reading the wheeling and dealing for the Senate seat. Do you suppose it was one bit different in Delaware to replace Biden, or will be different in NY to replace Hillary? Except for the wiretap, that is.

Christ, I hope so.

There may be wheeling and dealing for the NY Senate seat, but I am tired of hearing that Carolynne Kennedy is inexperienced, Don't any of you remember when she planned the air cover for the BAY OF PIGS in Cuba? Wink

I read somewhere that Carolynne never held a full time job in her life, she sounds like the perfect politician to me!

Actually, mottoman, it's YOU who sounds like the perfect politician, with your cheap shots based on total ignorance. Even Fox News knows the score on Caroline Kennedy:

Excerpted from foxnews.com:

-- Interned for the New York Daily News and worked in the summers as a political intern for her uncle Ted Kennedy.

-- In 1979, earned her bachelor's degree from Harvard University.

-- Worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where she met her future husband, an interactive-media designer named Edwin Schlossberg.

-- Began serving as the president of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial support, staffing, and creative resources for the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.

-- Graduated from Columbia Law School in 1988.

-- In 1989, established the Profile in Courage Awards, which honors elected officials who have shown political courage, and beginning research on her first book.

-- In 1991, co-wrote "In Our Defense: The Bill of Rights in Action" with fellow law graduate Ellen Alderman.

-- In 1994, Caroline's mother passed away after a long battle with lymphatic cancer. As a tribute to her mother's work in the arts, Caroline took on Jacqueline's role as the honorary chairperson at the American Ballet Theatre.

-- Kennedy co-wrote another book entitled The Right to Privacy in 1995.

-- In 2001 in honor of her late mother, Kennedy helped create "The Best-Loved Poems of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis." She has served as editor for two other anthologies: "Profiles in Courage for Our Time" (2002) and "A Patriot's Handbook: Songs, Poems and "Speeches Every American Should Know" (2003).

--  From 2002-2004, Kennedy served as chief executive for the Office of Strategic Partnerships for the New York City Department of Education where she helped raise more than $65 million in private support for the New York City public schools

-- Published A Family of Poems: My Favorite Poetry for Children in 2005.

-- Published her latest work, "A Family Christmas" in 2007.

-- Kennedy currently serves as a member of the national board of directors for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the vice-chair for the Fund for Public Schools in New York City, chief executive for the New York City Department of Education Office of Strategic Partnerships and still serves as an honorary chairman of the American Ballet Theatre.

I think JFK would be quite proud of his only daughter, don't you, mottoman? Oh sure, she was born into a life of privilege, no quibble there -- but how many of those types actually DO something with all of that bonanza that life has handed them, and have actually "given back" to others.

(For contrast, I'm thinking of a certain over-privileged son that has damn near ruined just about everything he's been handed by his father, including the Texas Rangers, and the U.S.A., and I'm trying to come up with his good works and deeds...drawing a blank here.)

It sounds a lot like McCain's resume', when he first went to Congress.

You're nuts if you're saying Fox is taking a position that she is qualified. Every commentator but one says she that she is not qualified for the position.
