I would say Andy Miller new after the last 2 starts Mrfeelgood could take him in the lane thats why he just sat and never retook. Number 2 Shame on the hole feld for not pulling if they had horse . Just  GRATE DRIVE ON LARRY'S PART. Every one please dont for get Mrfeelgood was and is a world champion be fore he whent out to stud so why wont he be now... Know shame in being 2nd to Mr feelgood

Agree with you on Larry's drive!  Got him out front, put in a 58 middle half, and definitely beat expectations.

Best,
EW

We found out very little from this race.  When you don't have honest fractions, that's what usually happens.  If Manhardt were tons the best, he could've gotten there.  But nobody's suggesting he or any of these are tons the best.  They're a good, competitive group, probably no "great" ones, but very interesting & when the race goes a certain way it favors those horses.  I'm pretty sure if they had gotten the 1/2 in 53, Manhardt would've rallied past everyone & Special Report would've been struggling to get a check.  But none of the contenders raced in the last few weeks & that usually favors the speed horses regardless of pace.  Mr. Feelgood has gotten that perfect trip a bunch of times now - that won't keep happening.

You are truly a jack ass if you think a horse is razer sharp after being off over a year with 1 or 2 starts .. it take 4 or 5 starts. The funny thing is he most likely is just geting sharp now thats how scaring this horse may end up.. You truly define the word " Stupid "

Happy Easter to you also MM I've learned to stay out of these heated arguments in the end the horses will let us know who is best. That also changes from race to race.IMO the first five finishers raced good last night.

First of all there were very few horses who can vary the way they race,
drivers too. Manhardt was and always will be a victim of pace. Yes he can fly home- and generally will, but when the 3/4's is 125 or so, he really has no chance

That being said, lets see when the LEGITIMATE speed gets to the half
in 54 or faster, and the 3/4's in 122 or so and lets see who gets to the wire first

So what was your point?  Stalbaum stole a middle half last nite. God bless him. He got beat by the horse in the two hole, so what?  As the
track conditions and the weather improve, do you really think that he will be able to get to the 3/4's in 125?  The point I was making was
lets see what happens under optimum conditions and see who gets to the line first. I can almost bet that the next time the race will get blown
up on the front end---at least not 125 at the 3/4's

So using your "logic" HOLBURN HANOVER is the greatest horse ever
Special Report is a nice horse, but to think he will stay sharp all year
long is just a fantasy

Meadowlands is a Mecca for slow paced races.

This race is no different.

Mr Feelgood is a quality horse. His back class and the money he has banked  proves it.

Its not the horses fault if the driver by default or by design gives the horse a 2-hole trip on such a slow pace. Slow by almost 2.3 secs.

I must give credit however to Manhardt who did all the hard work. Can he help it if he was literally put on a treadmill.

My money next time these two horses meet would be on Manhardt provided I get a 3 to 1 price.
