Darth
Let me explain the game to you.

#1..... The horse had a HUGE driver change.

#2.....  The horse won 4 races last year in 23 starts.

#3....   The horse just came off a nice nice with Gibbs in the bike.

#4....   Everyone knew Widger's horse would hit a brick wall.

#5....   The guy who makes the morning line doesn't know jack.

What they should investigate is how nobody could beat Rick Finn for second. The horse had the rail last week and got beat by the 2..7..and..8 last week.

I don't care what anybody thinks, how can a horse be 20-1 morning line and go off at 7-5 and win by 14 plus lengths.  No driver change can produce that big of an improvement.  The trainer should be investigated.!!!!

Why should there be an investigation?  The betting public corrected the morning line.

Any horse in a NW3/7CL who comes home in 28.3 and a 57.3 back half deserves to win by 14 lengths.   Looks like Widger couldn't pull back on the reins in that race since the horse went out to 56.2 opening half

If anyone should be investigated it should be guy who makes the morning line. Looking at that horses lines no way should he have ever been 20-1, even if Gibbs was driving. Either this guy is a complete moron, or he wanted to bet the horse so he hoped to get better odds by making him 20-1.

The only morning line a experienced gambler should go by is the one in his own head. Remember griping about morning lines and bad drives and bad race calls come from people who have been affected by the race. Fact is there sad. When your sad everything matterss. When your depressed nothing matters. Be grateful that your sad.

I quoted Gloria Steinman with the sad glad comparison. I think it speaks volumns.

Darth,

The morning line overlooks big driver and trainer changes all the time, this case was both, I think they just go to fast and overlook things sometime, I saw that horse (Sugar Bear) and bet on him, I was not surprised he went off the favorite, just means other people spend time doing a complete job of handicapping also. If you look back 2 starts ago 12/27 the horse was 15 lengths off at the 1/4 and 10 off at the 3/4 so he paced the middle half in 55 3/5 that kind of speed crushes the field at maywood. In depth handicapping, we are all looking for something, everyone else is missing. No one missed this one but the morning line guy.
