I remember a friendly guy that drove at Sportsman's Park back in the late 1970's by the name of Wayne Temple. He could really drive and get one home with the best of them. He gave me a few winners in the day. I hear he is still around does he still go to the track?? A great guy who always made my wife laugh.

He's usually at Balmoral for the live races.Has been for years.I'm not sure when I last saw him;we sit in different areas.Look in the 2nd floor clubhouse for a guy with a "Dudley Doright" chin and it'l be Wayne.

In addition to the clubhouse, try the first floor grandstand near the concession stand that is somewhat aligned with the finish line, near the stairs.   Did I describe that okay?   I used to see Wayne there a lot.  A winners circle photo I have from 1971 at Washington Park shows the race finish and guess who's finishing second?  Your guy, Wayne Temple behind a horse named Johnny No Nox.  Good luck in your search and hey - the Complete Second Season of the Adventures of Superman came out this week at Best Buy.....did you get your copy yet of all 26 exciting episodes?
