How do the top dogs do it ?  At the Big M (and here), some of these barns are sooooo en fuego.  Well, it seems at least three top flight barns at the Big M with ties to the midwest are using human epogen to shave up to 3 seconds off horses best known times.  I don't know (or care) if it's epoetin alfa, diprivan, depo medrol, or whatever, but this poison is in their current "witche's brew".  I'm told there is no test for this stuff currently in NJ, but if this story is true, it would explain how these steeds keep running off.  It would also account for form reversals and guys strolling to the window to fire $100 TRI wheels and never sweat out a race.  I also learned that a "shipment" got hung up and the law is interested in the hows, whos, and wheres in respect to the shipments origin and destination.  Stay tuned as others will perhaps kibbitz from the Garden State and beyond.   trotter  TC

Trotter were did this come from?? Do you know this for sure?

I'll bet that the meet comes to a close if this is true, NO SHOT, Every other horse will test positive and they will have to shut down the meet. It will be the biggest scandel since the Lindberg baby.

Yes, it was posted on the USTA site a couple of days ago.  Testing will begin within 45 days in NJ. If positive
test is obtained, horse will be suspended for a minimum of 21 days and cannot race again until
the EPO is out of the horses system.   Furthermore, if a horse is claimed and tests positive for EPO
the new owner can VOID the claim.   Good News!   I posted long ago that suspending the horse would
be a good start towards stopping the massive doping of horses.  Many people said it would never happen.
Hopefully this is just the beginning with suspensions for this one drug.
