Spending Friday and Saturday here at Tampa Bay Downs.  While it is not real pretty, it is a nice track with good racing and great weather for people like me who like to go outside.

Talked to Oscar Sanchez.  He is the jock agent for Carlos Montavo and Jose Ferrer here.  He said he is bringing both of them to Arlington this year.

Mike Dini is running some horses here at TBD.

Saw Stevebiscuit run today in a 19,200 Allowance.  He finished last.  He has been claimed twice since Granitz had him.

As usual, not winning much, but the sun, warm temperatures, and no snow is just a great way to spend part of January.

Great to hear from you Dan!  Enjoy it down there!  We're getting 4-6+ inches of snow up here.

Had both a good betting and weather day on Saturday.  This is a nice little track.  Too bad the fun comes to an end on Monday when I return.  Can one of you shovel my driveway before I return?

Mike Dini's (and John Frank's favorite) horse, Taylor Madison, ran a good third in the stakes race today.  Ran behind a good Mott and Kimmel horse.

APCD: Welcome home. Got some questions about Taylor Madison race. Did not go to trackside Saturday and did not see race. Bought form for Tampa for that race. (1) If I hear one more indivudual at trackside state: Mott only uses Formaldalhyde when his stock bleeds. He was listed without and added in chanes day of race. I told everyone that that thinking is a crock of S###. He loaded with lasix his winner. Why would't he it's a stakes. Did Taylor set the fractions in a race laden with speed. Did she give 6 to Mott. Did Rocco give her a decent ride. What a embarressment to have Sutherland finish ahead of him. That thing was a RAT. What were Taylor,s final odds. I noticed she paid $2.40 to show, same as Mott's. Need this information to plot her future career. I ain't looking at Illinois breds. She should stay in open company.

John, as I remember, Mott's horse won easily.  In fact, Mott was actually at Tampa and he rarily saddles his own horses at GP anymore, so he must like this one.  Kimmel's horse was all out to beat Taylor Madison who was up with the leaders the whole race.  Taylor looks like a decent horse.  There was an objection on the race on the winner, but it was thrown out so Taylor stayed at 3rd.  I think Rocco did a good job with Taylor, he kept the horse in the action most of the way and came close to second.  Also, Dini is doing a good job down at Tampa.
