Richard Prevost Skip DeMull Larry Smith Henry Wilson Rick Mancik Richard Schroeder and all the other winter "bandits" that brought quality stock, primarily trotters, here to Hawthorne to race in the winter for nice money ? Oops, I answered my own question. No more nice money. Thank you Gestapo.  TC

TC smith..wilson and demull are all still active on the michigan circuit..rick maniac mancik i do believe is out of the sport schroeder and prevost im not sure..but prevost still owns in michigan you must remember daytime torch and red rhone, my worthy champ, trotters..thats where the michigan boys were the best

about 10 years ago schroeder started driving semi but he was still drivin up till 2 years ago at balmoral - mostly trotters. i hear he's got a couple up in ontario racing.

Remember when Red Rhone broke at 1-20 odds? They broke Dox Devlin too at 5-2. Kings Hope and Eastridge Star, both 30-1 ran 1-2. Exacta........................$100.00 even. Most rotten race I ever saw.

susan and rick had their stable together for 24 years, racing at sportsmans, quad cities, etc. ever since the divorce she got her own trainers license. i've seen her down as trainer on a couple at maywood lately, one is owned by their daughter jessica
