Advance Wagering Advance wagering at Monmouth Park for the Friday and Saturday Breeders’ Cup World Championships programs will begin on Thursday, October 25 at noon.
Wagering Format The two-day Breeders’ Cup World Championships will feature the most expansive wagering menu ever offered, allowing racing fans to select among a wide variety of betting options. The betting choices will provide fans with the opportunity to capitalize upon their winning selections by choosing among high reward bet types like the trifecta, superfecta, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 6 or among solid return bet types like exactas, daily doubles and win, place, show. Total wagering on last year’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships day program was over $140 million. Please refer to your track program for additional information.

The race order for all eleven Championship races will be announced on Wednesday, October 17. The remainder of each days’ card will be set after entries and post-position draw on Tuesday, October 23.

Two-Day Format This will mark the first year of the Breeders’ Cup two-day Championships. Friday’s races will feature three Championship races (races 8-10) and Saturday’s program will feature eight Championship races (races 4-11). Post time on Friday’s ten-race card will begin at 12:30 p.m. (EDT), with the first Championship race conducted at 4:20 p.m. (EDT). Saturday’s eleven-race card will begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern and the first Championship race will be presented at 12:30 p.m. (EDT).
Special Wagering Windows Special bet minimum wagering windows are strategically located to speed the wagering process. Also, special IRS cashing windows will be located in each mutuel section. To help us serve you better, please use the appropriate wagering windows.
Breeders’ Cup Ultra Pick 6 (Saturday Only) Breeders’ Cup will again offer America’s biggest bet – the Ultra Pick 6 – with a guaranteed gross pool of $3 million. This bet has featured several multi-million dollar payouts, including $3.1 million in 1999, $2.7 million in 2003 and $1.5 million last year.
The Ultra Pick 6 requires fans to select the winners of six consecutive World Championships races. The wager is a $2 minimum bet. Be sure to take your shot at a history-making wager by playing the Ultra Pick 6.
Important Information: Cashing Pari-mutuel Tickets Breeders’ Cup Championships features the highest payouts in racing, including many tickets that exceed the Internal Revenue Service reporting and withholding thresholds. Special IRS cashing windows are available on each mutuel line.
For winnings that exceed 300-1 odds, the IRS requires that a W2-G Tax form be completed. Individuals required to cash IRS threshold tickets (payouts of $600 or more) must have two forms of identification including a Social Security Card and photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. Winning tickets exceeding $5,000 will have federal withholding taxes removed from the gross winning amount.
Winning pari-mutuel tickets from all races conducted in 2007 at Monmouth Park must be cashed within six months of the date of issue. Outstanding tickets may be cashed at any mutuel window at Monmouth Park Racetrack during any racing day, or they may be sent by registered mail to Monmouth Park Racetrack, Attention: Mutuels, 175 Oceanport, NJ 07757. It is advised that you keep a copy for your records.
