You forgot an early 1960's movie starring Pat Boone and Shirley Jones called, April Love. It is an oldie but a classic harness racing movie.

The scene where Joe Pesci jumps out of the stands to give Billy Popfinger a beating after blowing up his bet (with Popfinger planting his feet in the ground to prevent his horse from winning) is classic.  Come on now; haven't we all secretly wanted to do that to some driver after a questionable or bad drive?  LOL.

P4, that is the best racing moment IMO.  It's not the best racing movie however.  Runner up for moment is in "Goldfinger" when the FBI is mistaken for tipsters at his trotter farm in KY.  The farm they used in the movie was immaculate and the horses looked like champs warming up on the training track.  Someone should write a funny movie about harness racing a la "Let It Ride".  TC

They haven't made the best racing movie yet. Most are all corny. Why didn't they ever make the movie " THE HORSE GOD LOVED " the story about Rambling Willie? There was talk years ago after the book came out that they were going to make it into a movie.

Good point.   I have that book about Willie and it would make for a good flick.   Recent movie 'Dreamer' with Dakota Fanning and Kurt Russell was pretty good but must agree most are pretty corny.   As for the 'Most Corny' Award winner???   Marx Brothers in 'A Day At The Races.'   Some of the scenes in that oldie are real knee slappers.   VERY Corny and downright hysterical, but I guess they were okay way back when.....
