i recently watched a guy at my simulcast facility betting blind off the tv screen.. he was obviously cheering for the 6 horse and out the clouds the 4  horse roars up and snaps the 6 at the wire ... the guy.. whose nick is slappy...because he hits himself when he loses (truth is stranger than fiction)... turns to me and says... "that 4 horse has been *** me for years".... true story

OS, at Balmoral we have a guy who roots at the 3/16 ths pole for ...let's say the #7.  When he gets passed up, his rooting turns to ...let's say the #9.  This never fails.  His intentions are good, but his pleading can't carry the horse to the wire, especially from hundreds or thousands of miles away.  Great story of yours !  TC
