This is a joke.  At Balmoral today the AVERAGE total pool in each Superfecta race was
$8,900!!  So, after the tracks 25% takeout that left an average of $6,700 in the ENTIRE pools.

Add in .10 superfecta bets and water down your payoffs even further.

           well what happen to the 10 cent bet increasing the pools ? this is what happens when you let what little players you have off cheap ! now you have no pools and a bunch of dime players betting 12 dollars a race in supers . the pools have decreased since the great dime bet came ! but the dime bet made a lot of nits happy . seems like they lost any player that bets money in chicago . like I said before the dime bet is ok with big fields at the t-breds . but at least the big m knows the dime bet sucks ! whats next the 25 cent daily double ?          RTP

Ouch!   Hope you didn't give the Gods any ideas relative to the 25 Cent Daily Double.   Actually, things could get worse.....if the tracks take a page from the Casino's Book of Games, maybe they'll come up with a Penny Bet!   You know, those 1 cent slot machines that now appear in the Casino's where the old fogies sit with their cup in hopes of winning thousands of pennies?   My gosh some of those folks bet one cent at a time and not even 'maximum credits!'   Seems like they're marketing to the lowest common denominater.   Problem is, every once in a blue moon there is some very large 10 cent payoff and thats the illusion of grandeur that keeps the bet alive.   At Great Lakes Downs, during simulcasting a couple of months ago, one of the regulars hit a 10 cent super that paid over $4,000 on a thorobred race featuring a 12 horse field.   We still have to hear about that 'great hit.'   Ugh.   Those 10 cent bets ought to go the way of Spats (anybody recall what Spats are?), Zoot Suits (not the horse of the same name), and 8 track tapes.   10 center's are a 'bad bet.'
