http://www.bright.net/~wkki/cfhra/cfhra.htm Tentative Meeting Site The CFHRA has been offered the meeting room of the Ohio Harness Horseman Association in Columbus, Ohio. No dates have been set, but we are looking for suggested dates from states who would have to make travel plans. This meeting will be to set-up future plans and place members on committees to oversee future CFHRA activities.
2006 Super Races?It has been suggested that the CFHRA might hold races at the end of the fair racing season for aged horses, 2 year olds and three year olds. The original plans had called for the first racing to start in 2007. In order for this for to happen in 2006 we would need at least 5 to 6 states commit to sending horses for the event. We would ask that states with established series consider sending the top horses from stake races and to support them the first year with some expenses to cover expenses. One state has already said they would consider hosting these first ever CFHRA "Super" Races. This is all very tentative at this time.
CFHRA Incorporation Filing The CFHRA is in the process of incorparating. We are looking for volunteers to help in this process, including financial aid to pay for legal expenses. Tentative plans call for incorporating in Ohio.
