I believe you can get an idea of committment by looking at how their website is kept. Afterall, a website is a great marketing tool used by nearly every successful business today.
Now, how many harness track websites are any good? Big M...what other one?
yonkers' is awful. monticello, I looked at that about a month ago and on the homepage was
a story and picture of a horse that "recently" won....and there was snow in the pic.
racetracks, for the most part, have bad management.
they either have someone who knows horse racing but has no clue about marketing, or they have marketing people who have no clue about racing.
The Vernon and Tioag sites are not aweful. Better then Yonkers but not near the Meadowlands.
I just dont get this lack of cross promotion between a tracks slot facility and their slots. I am guessing its part of the law but why cant all those $5 gaming vouchers be gaming or wagering? Why cant the slot machines that are rigged to give out $50 gaming vouchers also have them apply to betting? Why cant their betting machines and teller machines also do that?
Cant you drag Frank Drucker outside to do something between races where they say have a drawing with losing tickets where if yours gets picked, you get a dinner for two in the restaurant on a future trip with free valet parking? Geez, the free valet parking alone is a $300 value and you stick two people in the restaurant looking onto the track .
Ive said this several times but Yonkers has been missing the boat
