Race track phil said that maywood closed last night at 7pm.  Does anyone know if the parlors did the same thing?  If so, the racetracks shut themselves down.  Does this make sense?  What am I missing?  Im sure the amswer to this is no, but it needs to be asked - is there any chance that the horsemen get more than the racetracks when they don't have live racing?

EVD was running thoroughbreds last nite. They only run quarter horses 2 months out the year.

Evangeline is covering the TB dates for Delta Downs until they're ready to reopen after the Hurricane Damage.  Last I heard, Delta will be back in Mid-Late January.

Still, not much for people to be interested in.

By the way, from this TB guy, I want to pass along my sadness for all the horsemen and Harness fans over the sad events affecting the Harness, the Purses, and the difficult situations that have led to the Strike.  People can't be expected to run their horses, and stay in business when they're running for such small purses.

Not so sure Delta will be ready to open Jan 18th. Lots of rumore floating around they wont be ready and that EVD will continue to run the meet.
