BREEDERS’ CUP LAUNCHES NEW WEB SITE; ALL 11 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS RACES TO BE STREAMED LIVE WORLDWIDE

All 11 races of the two-day 2007 Breeders’ Cup World Championships will be webcast to a worldwide audience live on a new and improved official Breeders’ Cup Web site that went live today, Breeders’ Cup officials announced at a ceremony in New York to launch the Breeders’ Cup Challenge.

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships, consisting of 11 races and purses and awards totaling $23 million, will be held on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 from Monmouth Park in Oceanport, N.J.  The live telecast of the Breeders’ Cup Simulcast show will be streamed on breederscup.com. ESPN 360, the ESPN main broadband platform, will also provide streaming of all 11 Breeders’ Cup races.

“In today’s media world, the idea is to touch as many consumers as you can,” said Greg Avioli, president and CEO of Breeders’ Cup Ltd. “With our focus on growing the Breeders’ Cup internationally, we want to reach the broadest possible audience worldwide and webcasting the 11 Championship races allows us to do that.”

The redesigned Breeders’ Cup site, www.breederscup.com, features news, video and interactive elements, including:

    * Emphasis on the Breeders’ Cup Challenge, including previews, analysis and video replays of all 24 Breeders’ Cup Challenge races to allow fans to track the Challenge winners as the fields take shape for the Championships;
    * Replays of American Graded Stakes race, categorized by Breeders’ Cup division, leading to the Championships;
    * Video of international contenders for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships;
    * Gate-to-wire video of every Breeders’ Cup World Championships race from the inaugural in 1984 to present;
    * Statistics and biographies for Breeders’ Cup horses, breeders, owners, trainers and jockeys;
    * Historical information and data on every Breeders' Cup race and participant;
    * Free Equibase past performances of Breeders’ Cup Challenge and Breeders’ Cup World Championship races;
    * Contests and an interactive forum for fan selections and discussion on Breeders’ Cup contenders;
    * Blogs and Podcasts from top racing analysts;
    * Social networking and user-generated content areas that will be launched in the fall;
    * Roster of all North American Stakes carrying supplemental purses for Breeders’ Cup eligible horses and purse levels; and,
    * Foal and stallion nomination areas.

“The redesign and improvements for Breederscup.com are part of our over-arching program to enhance the Breeders’ Cup experience,” Avioli continued. “We feel we have taken the first steps to creating a destination for horseracing fans around the world to keep track of all things Breeders’ Cup and to interact with our brand and each other.”

In addition, beginning immediately, BreedersCup.com will be its own stand-alone site year round and will no longer be a sub-section of the NTRA.com. The two sites will feature prominent links to each other.

Breeders’ Cup Limited administers the Breeders’ Cup World Championships; Thoroughbred racing’s year-end Championships consisting of 11 races and $23 million in purses. The organization also administers the Breeders’ Cup Challenge qualifying series, and the Breeders’ Cup Stakes Program. Breeders’ Cup Ltd. is located in Lexington, Ky.
