I was not boasting -- it began as at attempt to help Pam out, and I was illustrating why I gave the advice I did.  I profitted handsomely -- merely from money management/placement and no more.  Lest not forget that I also relinquished a sizeable portion of my profits back on the late p4.  Still can't believe I went six deep and got beat by number seven.  Oh well.

86% of my handle is straight money.  I occasionallly bet overlay exactas, and stay away from tris -- unless I'm trying to generate a huge profit from a smallish partial wheel.

I've only bet four pick4 tickets in my life: two carryovers at the Big M harness (best bet in harness -- 15% take) and the two BC pick 4s yesterday.

With the favorites just begging to take action, it was a banner day to make a profit -- if you were willing to go deep.  I originally planned $540 for the day: $420 first P4, $120 P, but I player the late one after I won.  Unfortunately I got sniped by that 30/1 horse for course.

That's what I get for not properly handicapping the last four races -- no way I would've tossed a horse that was 2 for 3 at BEL going 6 deep.  But, I made the ticket in a hurry, and it cost me.
