What other track allows owners and trainers to participate in their tournaments when they have rats running. The PALACE is the only one I know. Those rats at other tracks go out of town to other tournaments to bet horses in races they have running that day. And then there on cell phone to make decision to run or not if their in tournament contention. NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE that is connected to horse racing in any way should be ALLOWED IN ANY HORSE RACING TOURNAMENT.

Arlington, Lone Star, Turfway, Sam Houston, Fair Grounds, River Downs and Thistledowns are the only ones I can attest to.  There may be others.

I held that belief for a while until I saw enough trainers and jockey's wives play in the tournaments.  Believe me, if you lose to those mopes, you shouldn't be playing.

As long as they're forced to declare their status ahead of time, I welcome their $$$$$
